We proceeded to Flat White Espresso Bar (17 Berwick Street, W1F 0PT, 020 7734 4384), arguably the house of best coffee in London, see reviews at Tipped. It is a busy, crowded, noisy place, but I had there the best cup of cappuccino in my life.

Best milkshake, best cappuccino in London
On my trip to London yesterday, my hosts took me for lunch to Ed's Easy Diner, a mock-American eatery at 12 Moor Street and Old Compton Road, W1D 5NG, 020 7434 4439. A bison burger was mediocre, but banana and peanut butter milkshake, the purpose of our visit, was astonishing: rich, thick, full of subtle flavour.

How much did the cappuccino cost?
I have no idea. I was a guest.
I have eaten at (a branch of) Ed's several times when in London, as it was very close to the place I was staying, but never tried the shake. I now regret it. I have had some excellent burgers there, but not bison.
